Taking pictures isn't always fun: fingers get cold, early mornings, rain/fog/wind, mosquitoes bite everything, etc.

 

Photography has evolved for me from point-and-shoot, to trying hard to capture the true 'feeling' of a scene or a place. While working in Washington DC for Conservation International (CI)'s ecotourism department I was exposed to the very best in outdoor and wildlife photography. At the same time, CI started sending me all over the world. I couldn't travel to the far reaches of the planet and come back with out-of-focus, poorly lit, and just plain horrible picture. Sometimes a hobby gets out of control.
